After having one of our beautiful systems installed, chances are you're going to want to keep it clean and shiny to impress your guests and neighbours.
Fortunately for you, our canopy, veranda, carport and glass room systems are simple to maintain and can be done easily with things you already have in your home!
Cleaning the panels
Whether you have a glass or a polycarbonate roof, it's impartant to keep it clear of debris and nice and shiny to get maximum enjoyment from it! This can be done with some good old hot soapy water and a soft sponge. Ensure to clear as much debris as possible to make this as easy as can be. We do also offer a self cleaning option for our 6mm glass, in which the glass is manufactured with a UV coating that breaks down organic materials. You can learn more about that here.
Cleaning the aluminium
Ensuring that the framework is kept sparkly is just as improtant as the glass work, expecially if you have opted for a lighter colour as this is more likely to show any dirt. The same goes here with the use of hot soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth. To keep maintainence as easy as possible, we advise you give the framework a good once over every 12 months. This will prevent a build up and keep everything easy to clean.
Things to avoid
Our systems are made from high quality materials and meant to withstand the test of time, however they are not indestructible. We advise always using any chemical cleaning agents, as this can damage the framework and the glass very easily. Also avoid using any abrasive cleaning utensils such as scouring pads or sharp objects as this can scratch or pull off paintwork. A jetwash may seem like a great idea to quickly blast away any build up, however this can also cause more harm than good, as the powerful jet can cause unwanted damage to moving parts and seals.
