Everything you Need to Know About Glass Rooms

A glass room is an amazing way of adding an additional room to your home without the price tag.

This guide will provide all the information you need to know about glass rooms and how they can transform your home.

1. How much will a glass room cost?

A glass room can vary highly in cost dependant on the size, shape, colour and added features. We design and manufacture glass rooms of all shapes and sizes to suit your space. We carry out a free quotation for all projects to give you an initial idea of the cost.

2. What are the options?

Our glass rooms are all made from aluminium, ensuring high quality and sturdiness during all weather conditions. A glass room can be customised with our range of roofing options, which will ultimately determine the cost. We offer multiple options, including 6mm & 8mm toughened glass or 35mm polycarbonate roofing. Learn more about our roofing options here! We are also able to manufacture our glass rooms in any colour. As standard, we manufacture in White and Anthricite Grey. Outside of the standard colours, we can match any RAL colour, meaning whatever your vision, we can make it come to life!

3. Will I need planning permission?

The vast majority of the time, planning permission will not be required for the installation of a glass room. It is only likely that it will be required should the structure you are building is larger than half of the size of your home. You can check if you will need permission on gov.uk.

4. Are there any restrictions?

The simple answer here is no. The only restriction you will face is the amount of space you have to work with. Our systems are fully bespoke to suit your space. Typically glass rooms require to be situated complately flush to an exterior wall, with an open space to work with for easy construction.

5. Will a glass room increase my property value?

A glass room is similar to a conservatory without the hefty price tag. Adding another room to your home is likely to add value to your home, as you increase the square footage of the property in the form of an extension. A well maintained, sleek glass room is bound to turn some heads should you choose to sell your home.

6. How long does it take to install?

Dependant on the size of your glass room, installation will be complete between one and two days. Our structures are designed to be simple to install, meaning you can get to enjoying your new room sooner rather than later

If you are considering adding a glass room to your home our experienced team is more than happy to help! From quotation, design and installation we complete everything in house and will be with you every step of the way to provide your perfect glass room.
